I was out to lunch with my tween a couple of years ago at her favorite restaurant: Golden Corral.
Don’t laugh…that girl loved a buffet when she was younger.
Anyway, we were strolling through the line and she wanted some fried fish but noticed that it was beer-battered, so she refused to get it.
I explained that it wouldn’t taste strongly of beer and she’d probably like it. She said that was what she was worried about – she’d love it and then “Bam! Addicted to beer!”
So, it’s safe to say I’m winning at parenting. Keeping them sober until at least 13 over here.
Then I introduced this beer cheese dip and I might have undone all that work! Ha!
